Super Retriever Series partners with Dog Lovers Wine Club to benefit Canine Companions for Independence!

The Super Retriever Series is proud to announce and welcome its newest partner, Dog Lovers Wine Club (DLWC). The Dog Lovers Wine Club is produced by Carivintās Winery, a boutique winery based in California that offers carefully crafted premium wine and illustrated labels to support animal rescue organizations and shelters around the country. "The wines and labels are the feature. The benefit is our culture of giving and our desire to create great wines." Co founder, Matt Hahn says. DLWC has a passion for creating great wine and for working with and donating to non-profit organizations involved in the arts, sciences, and humanities. "We put our partners first by furthering their mission and 'paying forward' financially to the organization," said Fleet Hamilton, co- founder of Dog Lovers Wine Club.

Shannon Nardi, Producer of Super Retriever Series saw their advertisement in a Southwest Airlines magazine and could not wait to get started. "We are excited about this partnership. SRS has the opportunity to do a lot for the dog world and I have always had a vision of doing something special but never could put my finger on it. As I read more about DLWC and possibilities of a partnership, it didn't take us long to make the call."

While most partnerships with DLWC generate income with part of the proceeds going to the non-profit partner, the Super Retriever Series made partners in another way. "Our agreement will be different," said Nardi. "Instead of the proceeds coming to our organization we are donating it directly to Canine Companions for Independence. What better way is there to give back?"

Canine Companions for Independence is the largest non-profit provider of trained assistance dogs with five regional training centers across the country. Established in 1975, Canine Companions breeds, trains and places highly trained assistance dogs with children and adults with disabilities. The professionally trained dogs know over 40 commands that assist with everyday tasks such as opening and closing doors, picking up dropped items that are out of reach, pulling wheelchairs, and turning light switches on and off. There is no charge for the dog, its training and on-going follow-up services

"We were thrilled to get Shannon's call and be able to participate. Her enthusiasm and support for Canine Companions for Independence will help us keep placing our exceptional dogs with exceptional people," states Pat Callahan, Canine Companions national director of development and marketing.

DLWC will be releasing a special SRS Champion Series wine that will be sold for six months. After the first six months, the label will change and we'll induct our next champion. The first Champion Series wine bottle will feature the beloved Super Sue, a true champion to all of us, especially to her owner, Jerry Day."
