Series four was a field trial set up testing the dog’s ability to take a line and maintain it. Three marks, all on land and all requiring a water entry and re-entry. Two marks were tight and on similar lines with the final mark at long range with a lengthy swim. The test here is pinpoint marking ability mixed with the dog’s ability to take a straight path. Being the cut from twelve dogs to four, the judge’s leniency was non-existent. Straight lines out and back were at a premium. A tough test it proved to be and the final run to the championship is very close.

The SRS Crown Final Four are:

Stephen Durrance and Dude-78

Tommy Harp and Drake-86

Clark Kennington and Trigger-96

Lyle Steinman and General-100
